Application- Before you apply to the Technische Hochschule Nürnberg Georg Simon Ohm, exchange students must be nominated by their home university’s international office for an exchange semester at our university via email ; this email should include the student’s full name, email address, degree programme, and study cycle (bachelor’s/master’s), and the semester during which you would like to be at Nuremberg Tech. Applying After your nomination has been accepted, then you can apply for an exchange semester at Nuremberg Tech. Applications for an exchange semester at Nuremberg Tech must be submitted using our online form . Privacy policy for using the online portal (MoveOn). Please register on the platform, complete the online form with all required information, and upload the following documents as pdf files: • Confirmation of nomination from your home university • A full CV • A current academic transcript • Evidence of language proficiency (German and/or English) • A copy of your passport or national identity card • Registration form for the German Intensive Course (optional) Application deadline- • 15 December for summer semester • 15 June for winter semester Course timeline- • Winter semester: 1 October to 14 March Examination period: Mid-January to mid-February Semester break (no lectures): from approx. 24 December to 6 January and from mid-February to mid-March • Summer semester: 15 March to 30 September Examination period: Late June to late July Semester break: August and September Visa requirements- • A valid passport • A completed visa application, which you can obtain from the embassy • A confirmation letter from Technische Hochschule Nürnberg Georg Simon Ohm • Proof of financing • student health insurance with a healthcare insurance provider in Germany Grading system- with distinction 1.0 - 1.2 very good 1.3 - 1.5 good 1.6 - 1.7 1.8 - 1.9 2.0 - 2.1 2.2 - 2.3 satisfactory 2.6 - 2.7 2.8 - 2.9 3.0 - 3.1 3.2 - 3.3 sufficient 3.6 - 3.7 3.8 - 4.0 Fee requirements- • not required to pay course fees.
