Kyungpook National University

Kyungpook National University (경북대학교, abbreviated as KNU or Kyungdae, 경대) is one of ten Flagship Korean National Universities representing Daegu Metropolitan City and Gyeongbuk Province in South Korea. It is located in the Daegu Metropolitan City, which used to be the capital city of the Gyeongbuk Province, South Korea before being separated from the mother province. Recently KNU offers Philosophy, politics and economics programme.

1. Online Application: fill out here

2. Letter of Nomination from applicant’s home university

3. Official Certificate of Enrollment from the applicant’s home university

   (Documents No. 3 should be apostille or notarized from the Embassy of South Korea. This is mandatory for non-OECD nationalities.)

   ＊ Chinese students must confirm do　cuments with the China Academic Degree (CHSI) here

4. Official Transcript from applicant’s home university

5. Copy of Valid Passport (face page)

6. Color Passport Photo (face photo such as that used in passports)

7. Recent (within 30 days) Bank Statement (PDF) in your name or your parent’s name

   (US$ 9,000 for 1 semester, US$ 18,000 for 2 or more semesters)

8. Certificate of Family Relations (only If you have a bank statement in your parent’s name)

※ For non-OECD countries, the original forms of the 3) official certificate of enrollment and 7) bank statement must be submitted by post right after the online submission and received at KNU before traveling to Korea.

※ Language Proficiency Test (TOEFL/TOEIC) submission is not required.
