Housing, Accommodation and Transport:
| Housing: | You can choose between Milan, Lecco and Como. In Milan the structures are located within the urban fabric: the campuses are easily reachable thanks to the efficient public transport network or, in some cases, even on foot; the Adolf Loos residence in Lecco is located inside the campus, while the one in Como is a few minutes walk from the center and the train station and the lake. You can plan your routes on their website (www.atm-mi.it) under "GiroMilano" by specifying your starting point and destination.
A standard urban network ticket costs €2.00 and remains valid for 90 minutes within Milano's urban network, excluding reuse on the metro. Remember to validate your ticket at the start of each journey and when changing vehicles on the overground network.
All students under age 27 can purchase a student monthly travel card at a reduced price.Beware that fines ranging from €25 to €200 may apply if you fail to follow ticketing rules.For safe late-night travels, a special service runs on Saturdays and Sundays from 2:00 am to 5:10 am, covering various nightlife areas.
Milano also offers an extensive bike-sharing network through BikeMi. You can rent bikes from multiple stations, with annual, weekly, and daily passes available. The first 30 minutes are free. If you need a car, GuidaMi offers self-service car rentals available 24/7. |
